Our Corporate Social Initiatives (CSI) program focuses on supporting education and skills development of Namibia’s youth. To this end, our bursary programme provides funding to underprivileged Namibian students with exceptional academic achievement who are pursuing finance and investment related academic courses at different tertiary education institutions in Namibia.
As at 31 September 2023, 40 students have benefited from the programme bring our total contribution to education through our bursary programme to N$ 4.1 million since it was established in 2013.
A key addition to our bursary offering during the 2023 financial year was the inclusion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification in the eligible study programmes.
Since inception the programme has also expanded to include Work Integrated Learning and internship opportunities.

In 2019, NAM entered into a partnership with the UNAM Foundation which provides for the latter to administer the NAM bursaries. This partnership has proven to be a very effective way of managing the bursary scheme. UNAM Foundation assists in identifying bursary recipients in line with the NAM Bursary Scheme requirements and disburse funds to institutions of higher learning where such recipients are enrolled.
Furthermore, in 2021, NAM entered into a partnership with a local audit firm to co-fund Chartered Accountant students. To date, NAM has sponsored 4 students. Through the partnership, the students also receive mentoring and vacation work opportunities as additional intervention to place the students in the best possible position to succeed in their studies and their ensuing careers.
Our bursaries support students throughout their entire academic journey, from their first year to their final year. As such there are currently no new bursary opportunities available.
